Gaeltacht in the Barn is a 3-hour, hands-on Sunday afternoon experience designed for anyone learning or practicing Irish who wants to use the language in a real-world setting. (This is not a classroom, and there are no teachers or grammar tests.) Instead, it’s an opportunity to learn practical farm skills, connect with animals, and speak Cúpla Focal alongside fellow learners and fluent speakers alike. Whether you have basic conversational Irish or are further along in your journey, everyone works together by doing, watching, and practicing (being fluent won't automatically help, although Cúan the dog is trained in Irish!). The Day: Immersive Donkey Handling: Working together, you’ll learn the basics of donkey care in Irish through action (inspired by the Karuk language immersion method). Warm Soup & Tea: Warm up with homemade soup and unlimited tea and coffee. Irish Challenge: A task in which you must ask questions to win the prize. Animal Cuddles : Spend relaxed time cuddling our goats, rabbits, chickens, and donkeys while chatting with fellow learners. Who it’s for: Adult Irish learners of all levels or fluent speakers who love animals. When: Sunday 15th November 1PM – 4PM £25 per person (Includes the 3-hour experience, all animal handling, soup, bread, hot drinks, and materials). What to wear: Warm outdoor clothing and boots/shoes suitable for the farm.

Cancellation and Refunds: Enjoy a 100% refund if canceled 48 hours before the scheduled experience. Cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable, with 100% of the payment retained. Participant Responsibility: Participants are responsible for their safety and the safety of their party during the Kinedale Donkeys Experiences. Guardians are specifically accountable for supervising children in their care. Health and Safety: Please inform us of any health concerns or allergies before the experience. Non-compliance with this code of conduct may result in removal from the experience without a refund.
